Re: [californiadisasters] Yahoo Groups Used To Rock, But Now It Sucks

Bill Gates has nothing to do with this..... Yahoo! institutionally and culturally failed to evolve fast enough to keep up with the environment in which they operate... they have had as many management changes as Italy has had changes of government during the same time period. Even current CEO Marissa Mayer can't be wholly blamed as she inherited a cluster fuck and whatever she does even if it is brilliant (which so far it has not) probably wouldn't be enough to save Yahoo! in the long run. If this group disappears just remember it has Facebook, Twitter, and Reddit iterations that in some respects are superior to this format. The problem is that you just have to do what Yahoo! cannot and that is get comfortable having to adapt changes to the way you have been doing things. As long as I can I will keep this ship rolling here I promise you all. Below are links to the other California Disasters iterations which are going strong and continue to grow in membership unlike this Yahoo group which continues to gradually loose members as people abandon Yahoo Groups generally and switch over to more modern modes of social networking:

This Kimmer is the only Yahoo GROUP I have.  My Dad's Marine group has ton's of SPAM like "LET'S CONNECT WITH A BOTTY CALL!"
Sadly, I think the owner of the group has passed on, but you do run this group!

YES....Disturbed that there are SLEEPY POSTS, but can't we make BILL GATES PAY FOR THIS TURDY BIRDY?!?!?!
